Design and build an occasional table that is aesthetically pleasing, ergonomically considered, and structurally sound.
Musa is the versatile occasional table that transforms into a music stand and conveniently stores various musical items, allowing creatives to stay inspired at any moment.
We started with the idea of creating a table for use by creative individuals, specifically musicians. We wanted to add features like a cord holder, music stand functionality, and a space for an amp. To reflect the fluidity of a musician’s creativity, we made Musa very organic, visually.
One test this project presented to us was how well we could instruct users to construct our table. We did lots of user testing to ensure our table could be constructed in under 2 minutes.
A rotating joint was incorporated into the final design for Musa in order for musicians to be able to use the table as a music stand, a functionality shown in the video below.
